A partner in the firm of Graham & Cady on the corner of Main and Seventh streets, Cady studied law in Troy, New York and was admitted to the bar at the Supreme Court at Albany in 1868. He practiced law in Tioga County, N.Y. a short time, and then went to New York City. | |||
Cady taught there in the French Academy and in 1869 came to Dubuque. He specialized in patent law and was associated with Mr. Graham beginning in October 1871. | |||

A partner in the firm of Graham & Cady on the corner of Main and Seventh streets, Cady studied law in Troy, New York and was admitted to the bar at the Supreme Court at Albany in 1868. He practiced law in Tioga County, N.Y. a short time, and then went to New York City.
