JACOBSON STEEL AND SUPPLY COMPANY. In 1898 I. H. Jacobson founded the scrap iron recycling center on Maple Street. In 1937 David S. JACOBSON and Joe Jacobson moved the company to Elm Street and expanded the business to the sale of industrial and medical gasses.
The address was listed in the 1948 through 1985 Dubuque City Directory as 1100 Elm.
The Dubuque City Directory listed 800 Garfield.
