RANDALL, Leroy D. (Washington Co., NY, Sept. 25, 1818-Dubuque, IA, June 17, 1891). Wholesale dealer in leather and saddlery hardware. The oldest dealer in leather and saddlery hardware west of the MISSISSIPPI RIVER, Randall was a business associate of [[THOMPSON, John|John THOMPSON]] beginning in 1861. Randall served as vice-president of the [[LINWOOD CEMETERY]] Association and was elected an alderman.

RANDALL AND COMPANY]], a wholesale dealer in leather and saddlery hardware. (1) He established the business on Main Street in 1846 making it was the oldest firms of its type in Dubuque. (2)

RANDALL, Leroy D. (Washington Co., NY, Sept. 25, 1818--Dubuque, IA, June 17, 1891). Leroy D. Randall was the owner of L. D. RANDALL AND COMPANY, a wholesale dealer in leather and saddlery hardware. (1) He established the business on Main Street in 1846 making it was the oldest firms of its type in Dubuque. (2)

Beginning in 1861, Randall was a business associate of John THOMPSON.

Randall served as vice-president of the LINWOOD CEMETERY Association. He was a director in the COMMERCIAL NATIONAL BANK and the IOWA TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK, served one term as alderman and was a prominent member of the BOARD OF TRADE. (3)
