In 1859, he entered in the dairy business and carried on the business over twenty-one years. His dairy farm was located just outside of the city limits. He milked from fifty to one hundred cows. Walker is also engaged in the milling business in the firm of Atherton Walker & Co. located on Iowa Street between Second and Third [[STREETS]].

In 1859, Walker entered in the dairy business in which he remained over twenty-one years. He was the proprietor of Walker's Dairy. On his dairy farm located just outside of the city limits, he milked from fifty to one hundred cows.

Walker was also involved in the milling business in the firm of ATHERTON, WALKER & CO. on Iowa Street between Second and Third STREETS. That firm was dissolved in 1871 with Walker leaving. (1)
