HERRMANN, Henry. (Dubuque, IA, May 1, 1888--Dubuque, IA, Mar. 20, 1978). Long associated with the Herrmann Furniture Conpany, Henry Herrmann donated his interest in the museum assembled by his father, Richard HERRMANN, to the DUBUQUE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY. Proceeds of Land of Promise and Fulfillment, a book of city memories and family biography written by Herrmann in 1972, were donated to the Masonic Temple and the Historical Society.
Herrmann was a lifetime member of the advisory board of the Salvation Army. He held memberships in the Audubon Society and Bird Club and the board of ST. LUKE'S UNITED METHODIST CHURCH.
