SCHMID, Titus B. Sr. (Dubuque, IA, February 10, 1854--Chicago, IL, 1906). Educated in the Dubuque public schools, Schmid joined his father in the management of the SCHMID BREWERY which was later operated at the IOWA BREWERT until the merger which created the DUBUQUE BREWING AND MALTING COMPANY. In this company he was a major stockholder and a members of the board of directors. For many years he was also a director of the GERMAN TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK.
He was a member of the Dubuque Schutzen Society DUBUQUE SHOOTING SOCIETY, DUBUQUE GUN CLUB, Angler League, and the ELKS CLUB.
