ROCK POCKETBOOK. Mussel. Found in medium to large rivers in pools and areas of reduced flow in mud and sand, the rock pocketbook is threatened in Wisconsin, rare in Missouri and rare throughout the Midwest. Historically it is was widespread and common. The hosts for the young include the rock bass and channel catfish.
