KIENE, Emil. (Dubuque, IA, Oct. 12, 1869--1923). At the age of seventeen Emil and his brother Paul joined his [[KIENE, Peter Sr.|Peter KIENE, Sr.]], his father in the [[DUBUQUE RUBBER AND BELTING COMPANY]]. Emil mastered all the details of the company and in 1900 bought out the interests of his brother and father and operated the business as his own. The offices and warehouse were located at 422 Main.
