The second owners, Charles and Frances Coleman, came to Dubuque from Minneapolis when Charles were hired to take charge of the operations of CARR, RYDER, AND ADAMS COMPANY.
This home received the 2011 Preservation Award from the DUBUQUE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY.
