He came West to Iowa and settled in Waterloo in 1856. He worked in lumbering and banking until 1865 when he moved to Dubuque. In 1866 he and his brother organized the [[DUBUQUE LUMBER COMPANY]].

MOORE, Martin H. (Dummerston, Windham Co., VT.-- ). Moore grew up and attended school in Vermont and after taking a preparatory course entered Williams College and graduated in the class of 1854.

He came West to Iowa and settled in Waterloo in 1856. He worked in lumbering and banking until 1865 when he moved to Dubuque. In 1866 he and his brother organized the DUBUQUE LUMBER COMPANY. Moore served as vice president.
