NOEL, John N. (Massey Station, 1845--Dubuque, IA, 1914). For many years, John N. Noel served on the Dubuque police force. He was later employed in the MILWAUKEE RAILROAD SHOPS and was the owner of the CENTENNIAL HOUSE, one of Dubuque's early hotels.

His son, John B. NOEL was the grandson of John B. Noel, a native of Belgium who came to Dubuque in 1825.
