Toom, Donald I. (Hessville, IN, Aug. 20, 1925--Dubuque, IA, Jan. 21, 2001). Realtor. Toom operated Toom Real Estate and Insurance Agency in Pella, Iowa until 1962 when he moved his family to Dubuque.  He established Key City Realty and Insurance and served as president of the Dubuque Board of Realtors.  He was a founder of the Dubuque Multiple Listing Service, past chairman of the Multiple Listing Committee, and Realtor of the Year in 1976.  He was also active on many state and local real estate boards and committees.  He owned and operated Key City Realty and Insurance until retiring in 1982.
