WILSON, Eugene J. (Council Bluffs, IA, Sept. 22, 1918--Dubuque, IA, Sept. 1, 2014). The son of Edward John and JoHannah (Ryan) Wilson, Eugene was an automobile deader for fifty-eight years in Rock Island, Illinois, Davenport, and Dubuque. In Dubuque he was the Dodge dealer for forty-nine years retiring in 2005 as president of Wilson Brothers Dodge. The business was carried on by his grandson, Patrick Turpin, as Turpin Dodge, Chrysler, Jeep and Ram. For many years, Gene served on the Dodge Dealer Advertising Council.
