BUTT, James E. (Dubuque, IA, December 4, 1927 – February 21, 1998) The Butt family dated back to early residents of Dubuque involved the fruit and vegetable business. In 1958, Jim established BUTT'S FLORIST at 2197 University Avenue. When the business quickly outgrew that location, he moved the company up the street to the corner of University and Asbury Rd.
