HOEFFLIN, Charles. (Baden, Germany--East Dubuque, IL, September 13, 1919]]. Hoefflin came to the United States in 1887 and settled in St. Louis. In 1889 he moved to Dubuque and operated the WINONA HOUSE.
He sold the hotel and operated a wholesale and retail liquor store on Couler Avenue until January 1919. He then moved to East Dubuque.
