HURD, Louis G. (Deavertown, OH, January 1847--Dubuque, IA, January 25, 1929). Hurd attended the Cincinnati College Law School and was admitted to legal practice in Iowa in 1871. He was the senior member of the firm of Hurd, Lenehan, Smith and O'Connor.

In 1907 he was the senior member of the law firm of Hurd, Lenehan and Kiesel which specialized in commercial collections with "special attention given to cases in supreme and federal courts." (1) In 1921 Hurd was the senior member of the firm of Hurd, Lenehan, Smith and O'Connor.  


Hurd served as Dubuque County president of the Iowa State and American Bar associations.

HURD, Louis G. (Deavertown, OH, January 1847--Dubuque, IA, January 25, 1929). Hurd attended the Cincinnati College Law School and was admitted to legal practice in Iowa in 1871. In 1907 he was the senior member of the law firm of Hurd, Lenehan and Kiesel which specialized in commercial collections with "special attention given to cases in supreme and federal courts." (1) In 1921 Hurd was the senior member of the firm of Hurd, Lenehan, Smith and O'Connor.

Hurd served as Dubuque County president of the Iowa State and American Bar associations.
