The first service, attended by fifty-six people, for the "Dubuque Mission" was held on November 6, 1960, in quarters rented from the Dubuque County Farm Bureau. On the first anniversary of that service, Our Redeemer Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod was officially organized. Our Redeemer was incorporated on December 26, 1961.
