MOFFATT, Wallace. (Orillia, Ontario, Canada, Nov. 25, 1879--May 3, 1952). MAYOR. Moffatt served several years on the Dubuque City Council and was the mayor of the city in 1944. He came to Dubuque in 1900 and began work with the Mathis-Metz Printing Company. This later became the Mathis-Moffatt Printing Company.

Moffatt was an honorary member of the Dubuque Police Protective Association and a member of the DUBUQUE COUNTY HISTORICAL SOCIETY, Dubuque County Conservation Society, DUBUQUE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE and the Royal Arch Masons.
