GILLIAM, Thomas F. (Jacksonville, IL, June 121, 1832--Unknown). When he was fourteen, Gilliam's parents came to Iowa and settled in Dubuque. He grew up in the city and participated in the organization of Poole, Gilliam & Co., wholesale grocers at 272 Main Street, in 1870.

GILLIAM, Thomas F. (Jacksonville, IL, June 12, 1832--1905). When he was fourteen, Gilliam's parents came to Iowa and settled in Dubuque. He grew up in the city and participated in the organization of POOLE, GILLIAM & CO., wholesale grocers at 272 Main Street, in 1870.

Mr. Gilliam was married on April 11, 1854, to Miss Elizabeth A. Shields, daughter of the late Gen. John G. SHIELDS; they had four children.
