K and K FOODS. Supermarket. In November 1988, Ken Gratton and Kevin Wheaton, partners in K and K Foods at 2013 Central Avenue, announced their plans to close the store after three and one-half years of business. The store had the distinction of being the last independently operated supermarket in the city. The business had previously been operated by Randall Foods. A supermarket had been located on the site for the past twenty-five years.
