	WOLCOTT, S.A. (Orange Co., NY, Sept. 8, 1824--Unknown). Wolcott moved to Boston and worked in railroading for fifteen years. In 1857, he came to Iowa. 	In 1863, Wolcott came to Dubuque and the following year was appointed trainmaster on the [[DUBUQUE AND SIOUX CITY RAILROAD]]. He remained with that road and the [[ILLINOIS CENTRAL RAILROAD]] until the spring of 1871. He then became Assistant Superintendent for the [[CHICAGO, CLINTON, DUBUQUE AND MINNESOTA RAILROAD COMPANY]] in 1873. (2) His years of experience with the railroad led to the naming by 1895 of the Brotherhood of Railway Trainmen, S. A. Wolcott, Lodge No. 60. (3) ~~In 1879 he was the president of the [[DUBUQUE DRAINAGE COMPANY]].~~		In 1863, Wolcott came to Dubuque and the following year was appointed trainmaster on the [[DUBUQUE AND SIOUX CITY RAILROAD]].
