	In 1859, Walker entered in the dairy business in which he remained over twenty-one years. He was the proprietor of Walker's Dairy. On his dairy farm located just outside of the city limits, he milked from fifty to one hundred cows. Walker was also involved in the milling business in the firm of [[ATHERTON, WALKER & CO.]] on Iowa Street between Second and Third [[STREETS]].		In 1859, Walker entered in the dairy business in which he remained over twenty-one years. He was the proprietor of Walker's Dairy. On his dairy farm located just outside of the city limits, he milked from fifty to one hundred cows.

			Walker was also involved in the milling business in the firm of [[ATHERTON, WALKER & CO.]] on Iowa Street between Second and Third [[STREETS]]. That firm was dissolved in 1871 with Walker leaving. (1)
