	The history of U.S. Bank in Dubuque is recent. In the early 1990s, after it merged with other banking concerns, the name of [[FIRST NATIONAL BANK OF DUBUQUE]] was changed to Hawkeye Bank of Dubuque. A few years later, the bank merged into the Mercantile Bank Corporation. In 1999, Mercantile Bank was acquired by ~~Firstar Bank~~.
