			Taste of Dubuque was a successor to the Dubuque Food Show which premiered in 1949. After a parade through downtown Dubuque, the festivities moved to [[MELODY MILL]] where the mayor cut a ribbon opening the activities inside. Hours for the second annual event ran from 7:00 p.m-11:00 p.m. on Monday and from 2:00-5:00 p.m. and 7:00-11:00 p.m. Tuesday and Wednesday, September 18-20th, 1950. There were thirty booths and displays with two acrobat teams providing entertainment. It was estimated that 20,000 people would attend. (2)
