ST. JOSEPH'S SCHOOL. The Sisters of St. Dominic from Sinsinawa, Wisconsin, were assigned to teach in the school that opened on September 13, 1950. Half-day classes were held as construction continued through September 27. Kindergarten did not start until October 22. The formal dedication of the building was held on April 22, 1951, by Archbishop [[ROHLMAN, Henry P.|Henry P. ROHLMAN]].

An open house was held in July 1957, to show a new three-story addition to the school. The new construction contained a cafeteria, kitchen for the food service, and eight classrooms. The rectory was renovated about the same time. A new convent was completed in 1958.
