	Other assignments took Spahn to the Iowa State Teachers’ College (later University of Northern Iowa) where he was chaplain of the student center from 1951 to 1953 and to Cedar Rapids where he supervised the construction of Regis High School and later served as its superintendent. When he retired in July 1980 he was pastor of St. Mary's Church in Strawberry Point, Iowa.		Other assignments took Spahn to the Iowa State Teachers’ College (later University of Northern Iowa) where he was chaplain of the student center from 1951 to 1953 and to Cedar Rapids where he supervised the construction of Regis High School and later served as its superintendent. He served on the board of regents of [[LORAS COLLEGE]] into the 1970s. (1) When he retired in July 1980 he was pastor of St. Mary's Church in Strawberry Point, Iowa.
