	SCHUCHART, Frank. (Belmont, WI-- ). Recipient, Distinguished Service Cross. On August 30, 1918 during [[WORLD WAR I]], in action near Juvigny, France, while acting as a runner, Private Schuchart repeatedly exposed himself to severe enemy artillery and machine-gun fire. After the attack, he voluntarily joined in the work of clearing the field of wounded under heavy enemy fire. On November 8, 1918 while carrying an important message, he was severely wounded in the left leg.
