	ROGERS, Thomas. (Fort Edward, NY, Oct. 14, 1808-Dubuque, IA, Feb. 6, 1874). Advised by Senator Henry Clay to come to Iowa, Rogers moved to Burlington in 1839 from New York. A letter of introduction to Gen. [[JONES, George Wallace\|George Wallace JONES]] from a Burlington attorney led Rogers to open his own practice in Dubuque the same year.		ROGERS, Thomas.
