	Resnick came to Dubuque in 1984 and beginning in 1993 served on the Fine Arts faculty of [[CLARKE UNIVERSITY]] as a director of instrumental music. During his tenure, he held many leadership positions at the college and was selected as a presenter for the prestigious Mackin-Mailander Lecture Series. He was the conductor of the Clarke Wind Ensemble, Jazz Ensemble, and Woodwind Ensemble. Resnick also served as a clinician, adjudicator and guest conductor in Iowa, Illinois, and Nebraska. Along with his conducting duties, Resnick taught electronic music, orchestration/arranging, and instrumental technique courses. He performed on the saxophone, clarinet, and piano in several professional groups in the Dubuque area.
