	In 1978 Peacock began his career working as an accountant for the Keystone Area Education Agency. He later served as the agency's president. In 1980 he joined [[ROSHEK'S DEPARTMENT STORE]] which became [[ARMSTRONG'S DEPARTMENT STORE]] as a store general manager. He was elected president of the Kennedy Mall Merchants Association. Peacock earned an Associated Degree in Accounting from the Northeast Iowa Community College and in 1995 a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Business Administration from [[CLARKE COLLEGE]]. Peacock was graduate of the Iowa School of Banking and a Certified Anti Money-Laundering Specialist. In 2015 Peacock served as an executive vice president and director of compliance and risk management at [[AMERICAN TRUST AND SAVINGS BANK]].
