Outside of banking, Peacock was active in the area. He served as a former member of the city council in Asbury and was a past chairman of the [[DUBUQUE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE]]. In the latter role, he hosted over eighty ribbon cuttings, established the annual diversity summit and led efforts to increase American Airline flights into the regional airport. Peacock also served as a United Way chairman and board member of the Boy Scouts of American Northeast Iowa Council. In 2010 after a disastrous earthquake in Port-au-Prince, Haiti, Peacock raised pledges of over $18,000 for food relief He served as a guest conductor of the [[DUBUQUE SYMPHONY ORCHESTRA]] in 2014 after raising the most funds during that organization&amp;#039;s Pursuit of the Podium contest.
