The ''Telegraph Herald'' described the interior as having "scenes from all parts of the world...solid oak booths...combined with Egyptian Red Marble, Japanese art fixtures and plate glass." (1)

	In an article on the new business, writers of the Telegraph-Herald mentioned the soda fountain costing "almost $10,000" stood to the right as customers entered the parlors with a "capacious candy case equipped with all modern and sanitary appliances was positioned to the left. "Ice cream and other palatable ~~refreshment~~" were served by employees "attired in the ~~varies~~ colored garb of the orient to harmonize with the other decorations.
