(2) in 1895 he was awarded the contract for Bedford stone, brickwork, carpentry, painting, plastering, roofing and all materials for the [[DUBUQUE BREWING AND MALTING COMPANY]]. (3) The same year he won the contract for the carpentry work on the [[SECURITY BUILDING]]. (4) In 1899 his firm was awarded the contract for structural iron and steel improvements on the [[JAMES LEVI AND COMPANY]] building. (5) He supervised the construction of such other landmark buildings as the 15th Street high school, [[MOUNT CARMEL MOTHERHOUSE]], [[JULIEN HOTEL]] which was destroyed by fire in 1913, [[SACRED HEART CHURCH]], and [[HOLY GHOST CATHOLIC CHURCH]].
