She served as a commissioner of the Illinois Supreme Court--Character and Fitness Committee and was elected as the first woman chairman of the Equal Employment Advisory Council, Washington, D C. (1986-1987). After retiring from Bankers Life in 1994, she became an arbitrator and served from 1994 to 2013.
