Mullin was elected president of the Women&amp;#039;s Bar Association of Illinois (1970-1971), Women&amp;#039;s Bar Association of Illinois Foundation beginning in 1963 and where she served as director from 1963 to 2012, and was licensed to practice before the Supreme Court of the United States. In June 1960 she was the only woman to sit for the Iowa Bar Exam. She was appointed chairman of the Committee to Select the Outstanding Supervisory Employee of 1971 for the Chicago Federal Executive Board. She served as a commissioner of the Illinois Supreme Court--Character and Fitness Committee and was elected as the first woman chairman of the Equal Employment Advisory Council, Washington, D C. (1986-1987). After retiring from Bankers Life in 1994, she became an arbitrator and served from 1994 to 2013.&lt;br /&gt;
