She married Aloysius Koos on August 8th, 1950 in Dubuque. They had 3 children together before Aloysius tragically passed away on May 25, 1957. Later in life Rita met Albert “Bud” Mohr and the couple married on June 9, 1978. They celebrated their 29th wedding anniversary together before he preceded her in death. Rita volunteered countless hours with the United Way, Junior Achievement, and with Mercy Development Community.
