	The site was used by a number of local groups. Members of the Club held a musical and dance at "their new home on the island near [[EAGLE POINT]] in June 1911. (1) In July, 1911 a number of boats carried local druggists to the island for a day of relaxation. The island was equipped with several large buildings. (2) The Dubuque Registered Nurses Association were entertained by a launch party in September, 1911 to Minnewawa Island followed by a potluck supper.
