	LORAS JUDO CLUB. In 1991 the oldest active club of its type in Iowa. Not affiliated with [[LORAS COLLEGE]], the club is open to tri-state students and Dubuque-area residents. The original faculty moderator for the team, Bob Zahren, was succeeded in 1991 by Pat Flanagan. Among the three hundred who have belonged to the club are [[SMITH, Terry\|Terry SMITH]], Jeff Lang who earned two state titles, and Mike Scheckel who trained to be a member of the United States team for the Summer Olympics in Barcelona, Spain.
