	LOOMIS, Ace Darl. (Dubuque, IA, June 12, 1928 – Santa Fe, NM, September 11, 2003) Loomis played football at [[DUBUQUE SENIOR HIGH SCHOOL]] and the University of Wisconsin-La Crosse. As a junior high student, he transported to high school to practice with the varsity team. (1) In college he received All-American honors as a basketball player in 1948 and was named to the Helms Foundation of All-American Football teams as a fullback. (2)		LOOMIS, Ace Darl. 	Loomis was drafted in the fifth round of the 1951 NFL Draft out of the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse by the Cleveland Browns. (3) He was changed from a fullback in professional football to a ~~cornerback~~. He was traded by Cleveland to Green Bay in 1957. (4) He played three years for the Packers and retired in 1953. (5)		Loomis was drafted in the fifth round of the 1951 NFL Draft out of the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse by the Cleveland Browns. (3) He was changed from a fullback in professional football to a corner back. Loomis was traded by Cleveland to Green Bay in 1957. (4) He played three years for the Packers and retired in 1953. (5)
