In 1888, Kuehl became the vice-president of the Bank of Manilla in Manilla, Iowa. The Bank of Denison was established by the firm of Shaw &amp;amp; Kuehl on January 1, 1890. Shaw served as the president and Kuehle was vice-president. &lt;br /&gt;
