	KINTZINGER, John W. (Dubuque, IA, Aug. 12, 1870-Dubuque, IA, Apr. 3, 1946). Kintzinger graduated from high school in Dubuque and then worked as an American Express messenger. 	He entered law school at the State University of Iowa and was admitted to the bar in Iowa in 1897. He then returned to Dubuque to open his legal practice. In his early career, Kintzinger served as a member of the city council from 1900 to 1902 and as the city attorney from 1904 to 1908. From 1911 to 1923, he was a judge of the 19th Judicial District Court. He was a Democratic delegate to the party's national convention in 1912.
