He raised money for Wisconsin Badger Camp as part of his activity in this organization. Over the years, Wayne and his wife, Mary, sponsored sports teams, including bowling, basketball, horseshoe, baseball, fast pitch and slow pitch softball, men and women’s teams alike, and organized many golf tournaments. He organized events for his customers, which included bus trips to Iowa-Wisconsin games and other sporting events, trips and cruises. His years of dedication to sports were recognized with his induction into the [[DUBUQUE FAST PITCH HALL OF FAME]] in 1991.		Wayne enjoyed sports and was an avid golfer. KAHLE, Wayne J. Wayne (Dubuque, IA--Hazel Green, WI, Dec. 13, 2016) Kahle lived in Dubuque until he was 10 years old. He moved to Kieler, Wisconsin, where his parents, Ben and Mabel Kahle, owned and operated the Kall Inn Tavern and Dance Hall.

He attended grade school at Holy Trinity in Dubuque followed by Immaculate Conception in Kieler. He attended [[LORAS ACADEMY]] and graduated from Cuba City High School in Cuba City, Wisconsin, in 1952.

After high school, Kahle joined the United States Navy Reserve and worked at the [[DUBUQUE PACKING COMPANY]]. He then served on active duty in the U.S. Navy aboard the USS New Jersey, BB-62, an Iowa-class battleship.
