	JULIE N. DUBUQUE. Constructed in 1959, the boat was originally called River Belle. (1) The Julie N. Dubuque made its first appearance in Dubuque in 1960. Capable of carrying 350 passengers, the boat was a larger model of "Little Julie" which was constructed in 1956 and moved in 1959 for work on the Missouri River. Excursions on the weekend were planned. The boat was powered by two 200-horsepower marine diesel engines each having its own propeller. A paddlewheel included in the boat's design had no function.
