&lt;p&gt;&lt;b&gt;New page&lt;/b&gt;&lt;/p&gt;&lt;div&gt;IOWA METROPOLITAN COALITION (THE). The Coalition was formed in 2008 to promote legislative priorities of Iowa&amp;#039;s larger communities. Discussed for many years, the formation was a result of the fall meeting of the Iowa League of Cities in 2007. It was the intention of the Coalition to work collaboratively with the Iowa League of Cities.&lt;br /&gt;
&lt;br /&gt;
Besides Dubuque, other cities in the Coalition included Ames, Cedar Rapids, Council Bluffs, Davenport, Des Moines, Iowa City, Sioux City, and West Des Moines.&lt;br /&gt;
