	HOLLAND, Ora. (Barre, MA, Aug. 28, 1825--Barre, MA, Aug. 16, 1910). In 1843 moving west, Holland arrived in Chicago on his way to Jacksonville, Illinois where he learned the trade of being a carpenter and joiner. He came to Dubuque on March 30 1846. Built in 1857, the house had ten rooms, 12-foot ceilings, four fireplaces, two bathrooms, and intricate woodwork in the downstairs parlors and dining room.
