	HARRIMAN, W. E. (Danvers, MA, Mar. 16, 1820--Dubuque, IA, Mar. 1, 1923). Harriman emigrated to Iowa and located in Dubuque in May, 1855. He taught school for a short time, then entered the grocery trade. In 1866, he worked in the hat, cap and fur ~~trade and~~ continued ~~in that business~~ for thirteen years.
