	GREAT BOOKS. Originally part of the curriculum of St. John's College and the University of Chicago, the Great Books program was adapted in the 1930s to an adult study course. The Junior Great Books program began in 1965 with fifth graders at [[LINCOLN ELEMENTARY SCHOOL]] and spread to other schools in the [[DUBUQUE COMMUNITY SCHOOL DISTRICT]].
