The street was to run from Julien (now University) Avenue to Southern Avenue in as straight a line as possible. 			In 2019 City of Dubuque officials replaced 18 flower beds along the road that they believed were causing visibility issues. The beds only represented half of the number of plants that were currently there. This was part of a routine maintenance the Dubuque Parks Division budgeted for annually. This cost came out of the $380,000 set aside for greenhouse and lawn care. The overall Parks budget was $3.6 million. (8)
