Located at 1243 Locust Street, this building was designed by [[RAGUE, John Francis|John Francis RAGUE]]. The builder, Mr. Goodrich, traveled to New York to buy furnishings, but the Panic of 1857 forced him to mortgage the home as security. He was never able to redeem the property.  The home was converted to apartments in 1943.&lt;br /&gt;
