	ERTL, Frederick. (Germany, May 28, 1905--Dubuque, IA, Nov. 27, 1983). Fred Sr., a journeyman mold maker, came to Dubuque in 1923, was union steward at [[ADAMS COMPANY (Encyclopedia Dubuque)]] in Dubuque, Iowa. After a strike was called, he was too proud to strike against his employer and chose to terminate his employment. He later worked for the [[JOHN DEERE DUBUQUE WORKS]].		ERTL, Frederick.
