New page

ENVISION PROCESS. Debuted in 2010, the Envision Process was a long-term goal-setting process begun by the Community of Greater Dubuque President and CEO Nancy Van Milligen wuseumith the [[DUBUQUE AREA CHAMBER OF COMMERCE]]. The process resulted in the opening of the [[CRESCENT COMMUNITY HEALTH CENTER]] in 2007, an increased number of trails for local hikers, a $35 million performing arts center at the [[UNIVERSITY OF DUBUQUE]], the completion of the National River Center at the expanded [[NATIONAL MISSISSIPPI RIVER MUSEUM AND AQUARIUM]], renovations and West End pickup sites for the [[CARNEGIE-STOUT PUBLIC LIBRARY]], local brain health initiatives, expanded city-wide access to Wi-Fi, bilingual education curriculum at Our Lady of Guadalupe, and the renovation of the Millwork District. Expanded rail service did not receive sufficient support from the State of Illinois. As ideas were achieved, new projects were added.

In 2025 the Envision 2030 process adopted the following goals: access to healthy food, community-center housing; all-ages sports hub, children-s museum, reimagined Mississippi riverfront, [[SOUTH PORT]] revitalization; collaborative brain health services; community aquatic center, senior well-being center, and expanded library services.
