	DUBUQUE LUTHERAN SCHOOL. Founded in 2002 as a joint ministry of St. Paul and Our Redeemer Lutheran churches, congregations of the Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod (LCMS), the school opened for the 2003-2004 school year. The LCMS educational system, according to school information, in 2008 operated more than 2,500 schools nationwide making it the third largest educational system in the United States. 	In 2011 DLS had four full-time teachers. Kindergarten and first grade had their own teachers. Second and third grade were combined as were fourth and fifth.
